South Hamilton is not a town. You will not find it on a directory of towns with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, it is classified by the USGS as a "populated place". It could be called a neighborhood if it was a distinct area of Hamilton, but it isn't. It is the postal address for mail delivered from the zip code 01982 post office which the Southern of two post offices in Hamilton. The 2nd post office was opened before the USPS required zip codes on mail, necessitating a way to distinguish mail going to the new post office. Its delivery area encompasses all of Hamilton because the original northern post office no longer delivers mail.

Furthermore, all the "Notable Residents" that were on the page before my edits are also listed as "Notable Residents" on the Hamilton page. All the "Notable Geography" section was also duplicated from the Hamilton page. There was not one unique piece of information on this page, other than the notable confusion created by USPS addresses that say "South Hamilton" even though no such town exists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.197.161.108 (talk) 05:27, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
