I don't think The Comedy Store launched Rodney Dangerfield's career.[edit]

Wikipedia's article on Rodney Dangerfield does not seem to support the claim made in this Sammy Shore article that The Comedy Store was instrumental in "launching" Dangerfield's career. Rodney had his own club in New York, which was a venue for new comedians who themselves became great successes and credited Rodney for the breaks they received from him. If Rodney appeared at The Comedy Store it was probably as a favor to Shore or because it was a place to hang out with other comics whenever he was in Los Angeles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.206.83.213 (talk) 22:51, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
