Effect on online mapping[edit]

User:Memturbo is concerned that this article on a historic township is resulting in misleading information appearing on current online maps. This may be a valid concern, even though not being expressed in a civil or constructive way. Does anyone know of a means to prevent this article from affecting maps of the present-day locality?: Noyster (talk), 09:10, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know we have no control over how Google uses data from Wikipedia. Memturbo should report any errors to Google Maps, rather than vandalising our article. – Joe (talk) 11:05, 28 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I concur, Memturbo needs to take it up with Google. In this case I don't think Google is even pulling their data from Wikipedia considering they have an actual boundary for the township and we do not. I believe it is pulling from old USGS topographic maps. Kmusser (talk) 19:28, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
