Seriously now: the main piece states that he spoke almost fluent Russian... I would say he spoke it well. I mean his pronunciation was very so so but his grasp of the vocabulary was pretty good! This comment was posted by Russiandragon @ 03.07.07

Saw him last night (in Rostov-on-Don) and my curiosity to come here was raised by him speaking a bit of Russian. Did I hear right was my query. It is so important that we have people who speak the language because it is the key to understanding. Another theatre of animosities is now opened up near Venezuela to reign them in. The US will establish a 'temporary' military base near the border of Columbia, Peru, and Brazil and in addition to the ME, Afghanistan, and North Korea these many war clouds are obviously concerning.

Middle son?[edit]

Is Marcel the middle son? Paul Theroux's own website says "his first son Marcel" was born in 1968. Straitgate (talk) 05:18, 26 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
