Just making a suggestion here, but would it not be better to have the Acts ordered by their chapter number and then by year (so that it's a strictly chronological list) rather than alphabetically and then by year? Also perhaps the regular financial Acts each year (Consolidated Fund Act and Appropriation Act) should be linked to a general article as there's no point in writing separately about each year. - Well, on this list there would be nothing stopping us doing that ordering, but for historic lists where we don't have all the chapter numbers yet, etc, this would be problematic. So keeping consistency between the lists would be a point in favour of the status quo. Not overly fussed, though. Morwen - Talk 13:44, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
- Reordering the lists back to 1235 doesn't sound too enticing to me, but if you REALLY want to, I don't mind either. General articles about types of acts is a good idea and there are already some examples, see Regency Acts Kurando | ^_^ 14:33, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
How does my new TOC look? I'm really thinking of adapting it for the stuff like List of Acts of Parliament of the United Kingdom, 1920-1939, where the TOC box looks unsightly at present - but thought it better to try it out somewhere simply. Morwen - Talk 20:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
- That's very neat and compact, I like it. The only thing I wonder if it is necessary to have the top row header "local act" and then the link is labelled "local" as well. Good work Morwen :) Kurando | ^_^ 08:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe replace the two headers at the top with "series" across the two columns. Some years such as 1980 will have a third column for personal acts: it might be worth trying the TOC on List of Acts of Parliament of the United Kingdom Parliament, 1980-1999 and see how it looks when personal acts come into play.Kurando | ^_^ 10:10, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
