Birthplaces of José Rafael Abinader and his mother, and their surnames' spelling[edit]

@CalinicoFire: The sources present in the article states that José Rafael Abinader was born in Tamboril, including his Congressional biography and a August 2013 interview in which Abinader replies appears in first-person singular. The latter source also states that his mother was born in the Dominican Republic to Lebanese parents. I'll quote a paragraph of the 2013 interview and its translation to English:

“I was born in the village of Tamboril, province of Santiago, in the year of 1929. My father, José S. Abinader emigrated from the Lebanon to the Dominican Republic in 1898, and my mother, Esther Wasaf de Abinader, was born in Monte Christi, but she was daughter of Lebanese parents that had settled here. I began to study at age of seven years-old, in Tamboril. After four years of studies, my family moved to Santiago, we settled in the district of Gurabito, nearby where it is today the Cibao Stadium. The Yaque River flowed behind our house.”

This is why I've always reverted your changes.

In your recent edits you linked in the Edit Summary a picture of the alleged marriage certificate of Abinader’s parents...

I'll quote the text and translate it to English:

[FIRMA]

Number 235: José Sesin Abinader, with Esther Wassaf (1) of age.
In the Parish of Our Lady of The High Grace of Santiago de los Caballeros, on 5 May 1917, having being met the legal requirements, having being read the three canonical proclamations, and not finding any impediment, I, the undersigned interim priest of it, witnessed the marriage that in facie ecclesiæ [in the presence of the congregation] contracted José Sesin Abinader, single, of twenty-five years, native to Mount Lebanon and a neighbour of this city, legitimate son of Sesín Abinader and Juana Abinader, with Esther Wassaf, single, of nineteen years of age, native to Mount Lebanon and neighbouress of this city, legitimate daughter of Bichoza Wassaf and Thell Sahdalá. Witnesses to the event were Messrs. José Brache, Teófilo Lulo and Manuel Sahdalá. I attest. [SIGNATURE]

It does not supports your allegation that Abinader was born in Monte Christi instead of Tamboril. However, it do says that his mother's birthplace would have been Lebanon instead of the Dominican Republic (contradicting Abinader's statements), and shows a different spelling of his mother's surname. In this regard, I have found one lawsuit ruling and one news article that use the single-s spelling (JOSE RAFAEL ABINADER WASAF) [1][2] and one court injunction that use the double-s spelling (JOSE RAFAEL ABINADER WASSAF) [3], so it is hard to know which spelling is his actual legal name, perhaps a birth certificate may be necessary to clarify these issues (his actual surname spelling and his place of birth).
