Name and pronouns[edit]

This person used masculine pronouns in self-reference throughout his memoirs, e.g., Does the reader suppose the author led a double life because he wanted to?[1] The author believes the latter to be the reason he himself was born bisexual [2]. "Earl Lind" was not his birth name, but rather one of several pseudonyms he adopted in adulthood[3]. gnu57 23:00, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs some editing[edit]

As this article stands now, I would say it is a poor article by Wikipedia's standards: it almost reads like a self-written autobiography, with many details that are either irrelevant or on the brink of relevancy. There's a bunch of essay-like language as well. I would appreciate it if someone more experienced could go over the article to clean up the excessive details and to make sure this article becomes more encyclopaedic. I also think the 'Victorian' and 'Edwardian' references should be changed, given that this occured in the USA. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Piazzanycatcher (talkcontribs) 14:05, 27 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"In 2010, Dr. Randall Sell, a professor at Drexel University, became intrigued by the first two volumes of the trilogy. After searching for around twenty years for the long-lost third volume, he finally discovered the partial manuscript in the archives of the National Library of Medicine."

This does not sound correct. If Dr. Randall Sell became intrigued by (interested in) the books in 2010 and looked for them for around 20 years, it would be 2030. Earlier in the chapter it says that historians found the third volume in 2010. So Dr. Randall Sell must have become intrigued in the 1990's or am I mistaken? 2A02:8109:8100:1AEC:B8A5:4563:4B59:E924 (talk) 09:44, 24 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
