I think this article needs a section on how this group of Jews has functioned in Israel. A lot of them have moved there. Some controversy existed over whether they should be required to re-convert in accordance with mainstream Israeli Orthodox Judaism. I believe that was resolved in favor of the Ethiopians. A section on this issue, going into the details, would be interesting. Also, the section on monastics was interesting because mainstream Israeli Orthodox Judaism never had monastics, so far as I can determine. How and why did monasticism enter Ethiopian Judaism?
