Modified 'Captain' class unit[edit]

Infobox showed standard fit for USN Evarts-class DE, with notable addition of 2-pdr gun (fitted to several British units as 'anti E-boat' bow chaser; particularly seen on CF control frigates). However, Lawford was extensively modified in terms of both superstructure and armament for her role as an HQ ship. The aft shelter was built up and not used for mounting armament, aft 3-inch gun was deleted, bow chaser never fitted, and light AA armament consisted solely of Oerlikon cannon, arrayed three around the bridge and six along each side of the amidships superstructure roof. No Bofors were present.

All of this is clearly visible in the photo of the ship used in the article, so the infobox details have been amended.
