Cross of the French Legion of Honor[edit]

The following text has been moved from being a hidden text within the article (See: revision as of 15:27, April 8, 2008 by Writegeist)

I can only find résumé-type citations for this, i.e. among qualifications and awards listed for Mr. Meyers on websites of academic institutions where he holds/held positions. These references all share exactly the same wording as in this article. They may originate from Mr. Meyers himself? I have been unable to obtain corroboration from the French Embassy, the French national archives or the American Society of the French Legion of Honor. This alone is no reason to doubt the accuracy of the statement as it appears in the article. Nevertheless, any verifiable independent citation would be welcome.

Other contributors can now read this request and add the information. Thanks! — CZmarlin (talk) 05:25, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Three years is more than long enough. I've removed the cite tag. Writegeist (talk) 03:10, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
An independent reference is now provided. The original photograph of Mr. Meyers receiving the award that was published by a respected industry publication should be positive proof of authenticity. CZmarlin (talk) 16:00, 21 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
