Possible sabotage by an islamist

Hello friends,

why does the page preview of Gabriel say "Angels are not women! only Allah and his messengers Know How they Look!"? I thought it was supposed to show the first paragraph or something, not some religious nonsense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.103.147.127 (talk) 10:26, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

I see it too. Yes, the hovercard is supposed to display the first thirty words or so. I'm crawling the edit history now to look for the vandal. However, I am confused as to how the vandal managed to edit the hovercard only, or why they would write that on a page that makes no commentary on Gabriel's gender and explicitly describes him as a male.

Cluebot NG reverted vandalism two days ago by 196.155.72.30 (traced using keycdn's IP location finder to a greenspace on an Ain Shams University campus in Cairo) to a that lines up with the hovercard text. Hmmph. The revisions must just be taking a while to load. Test the hovercard for the article using this link.

Thank you for the help. I was also confused by the vandal managing to change only the hovercard, I wasn't even aware that was possible until now. It seems to be all correct now. We can only guess why the Cairo university student would do this, maybe the painting shown in the hovercard had hair too long haha. Have a nice day. I don't know if "editing" is how you reply here, I hope it is.
It is. Just remember to add on four tildes (this character: ~) or click 'Your Signature' in the 'Insert' drop-down menu to sign your replies. Uaiazr Jxhiosh (talk) 02:13, 1 December 2020 (UTC)

Messed up

Hi, I've rolled back to a revision from several weeks ago, because the text had become quite corrupted. Apparently there was some disruptive editing that was not reverted in time. Feel free to review this edit and re-add any edits if necessary. The main thing I noticed was "Michael" being swapped for "Gabriel" and stuff like that. Elizium23 (talk) 21:52, 25 January 2021 (UTC)

Man of God / God is my strength

There seems to be merit to the "Man of God" interpretation. All the Biblical Hebrew commentaries show this as the definition, and do not show "God is my strength". Perhaps we should include both, with sources. Elizium23 (talk) 22:21, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Gabriel does have multiple translations as his name is composed of the Hebrew words for man and God, "gebher" and "El". Although the traditional translation is "Fortitudo Dei" or Strength of God, it could also be translated to Man of God. KEleison (talk) 22:27, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Mistake

I don't understand why it's called that it should be rememberence 2604:2D80:B50F:F400:7C6D:2105:35DF:348B (talk) 11:23, 10 November 2022 (UTC)
