The player's name[edit]

Would it be possible to decide on a definitive name instead of edit warring about it? To set the facts straight, the player character is not clearly given any name in-game (setting any theories aside): the player is prompted by HandUnit to input the name they see above them, which is "Mike", but the keypad is glitched and does not accept the player's inputs. HandUnit then "autocorrects" what the player wrote, which always ends up being "Eggs Benedict". Referring to them as "Eggs" is funny and technically the closest thing to a name that the game provides, but it's incredibly misleading to say that the player character is called "Eggs Benedict" without any explanation. Reversinator; I would say provide a source, however looking into it I think I've found the source you need. (Kotaku) states "in an early sequence...the system glitch out and misinterpret [the player] as 'Eggs Benedict'," while also it states "to give you some background: In Sister Location, you play as Mike the janitor..." Hope this helps! Adog104 Talk to me 02:34, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, apologies. The sequence where the player must input a name is one of the first events in the game, but I hadn't thought to provide a source. Markiplier, among many others, has done a playthrough of the game, and while it does edit certain bits to save time, every piece of dialogue is heard including the aforementioned "Eggs Benedict" sequence, beyond any easter eggs that may exist. With that in mind, I'm not sure if calling the player character "Mike" is the correct options, since their name is never directly acknowledged. The HandUnit tells the player to input the name seen at the top of the keypad (which is Mike, written in black sharpie on a white piece of tape, but considering the secretive nature of the game, it is very likely that the player character is not named Mike. Lordtobi; also care to explain the removal of the sourced name "Mike" in favor of "Eggs Benedict?" Adog104 Talk to me 18:02, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are wrongly stating that the name "Mike" is sourced; both, the plot and gameplay sections, are entirely unsourced, wherefore nothing is yet proven. All I am doing is keeping vandalism off the page, which is commentless mass-editing of seemingly wrong information. Please try to find reliable sources for all claims made or else both sections will have to be cut down significantly anyway, including the naming for the character. Lordtobi () 20:41, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Lordtobi; However there was a source when it was reverted, hence why it was included in the plot; note the above conversation, I've discussed the name with Reversinator before including it again when it was reverted originally in order to reference it later for any others once the source was found. Again, the source is here: (Kotaku). Although Eggs is funny, it's not correct per source. Adog104 Talk to me 21:06, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Right, I seem to have missed that, as that was a compilation of edits that included some unnecessary changes; sorry. Would you mind putting it in again cleanly (also using the {{cite web}} template)? Thanks! Lordtobi () 21:13, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Lordtobi; All good, just wondering if that was a mistake or not. Sorry if I came off too harsh. Adog104 Talk to me 21:15, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Reversinator; To continue on your point, as his/her official name is still unknown, there is still far too much speculation regarding the main character's identity. As a result, Wikipedians are at odds as to who he/she is, as indicated by the number of edits made to the Plot section (myself included; I had to remove several instances of the word "Egg" as it isn't the character's real name and is an autocorrection by HandUnit). Nobody knows who he/she is because Scott Cawthon has not revealed his/her identity. Yet. It could very well be William Afton. It could be Mike Schmidt. It could be Mark Edward Fischbach for all we know. But the thing is, nobody but Scott himself knows, and because of that, we shouldn't put any information on this article without any hard facts from hard sources to back it up. Speculation alone is nowhere near enough. Wikipedia is a place for facts, not fan theories, so I would suggest keeping any possible name references off of this article until his/her official identity is revealed. The sole exception to this rule is "Eggs Benedict", and even so it should only be used under the context of it being, again, an autocorrected name by HandUnit. tl;dr: All theories, speculation and opinions should be kept to Reddit, Wikia, YouTube and anywhere else but a Wikipedia article. FNAFSL Mobile[edit]

When is it coming to Android? ZombieS31294 (talk) 00:09, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Scott has recently said that the game would come out after Custom Night was released, some people even said it was gonna come out on the 10th of December, but knowing Scott, we can't count on him to release it immediately, so I a guessing it will come out around December 25th, 2016 Kalerobber (talk) 16:44, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 28 October 2016[edit]

To delete the part that goes "named Mike, mistakenly" 161.77.42.50 (talk) 14:28, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Also please establish as to why the characters name isn't "Mike", as the reliable source in the article provides it otherwise. Adog104 Talk to me 12:04, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 29 October 2016[edit]

I request that the REAL release date for the Android / iOS version of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location is put up, to prevent people from wondering what it is and spreading hate on Scott Cawthon's Facebook posts. Thank you. I would be very grateful if you could put the proper release date for Android/iOS version of Sister Location could be put up. It is currently unknown and was supposed to be released on October 26, 2016.

Should we add a little bit of infomation[edit]

I was just wondering if we should add anything that states how the time when you are playing is unique. Because sister location is the only game played before 12am. Excluding the alternate ending, obviously. Potatoboy23 (talk) 05:46, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus[edit]

Mitchboy203Potatoboy23; While this article is fully protected, I would suggest the two of you discuss and come to consensus over the content disputed, as I don't fully understand the timeline of the video game, and to give each of you a chance to explain and discuss what needs to be agreed upon; and if any other editors would like to join in that have better experience and knowledge about the game it would be greatly appreciated. Please remember to be respectful to each other, as I've seen it's gotten off on the wrong foot. Adog104 Talk to me 02:41, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What would be the release date if Scott actually worked on the game for several more months?[edit]

Would the release date for this game actually be July 16, 2017 if the game has been actually worked on for several more months? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bluejohn99 (talkcontribs) 18:55, 18 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
