This article needs a lot of rewrite[edit]

I have reviewed the law in question, and see nothing that means re-establishing the Governor-generalship. It just means if there're anything in law before 12 December 1936 that can be done by the King, on 12 December 1936 they can be done by the Executive Council.--Samuel di Curtisi di Salvadori 20:04, 4 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Yes; because of the suddenness of the abdication, the 1936 Act was drafted in too much of a hurry, hoping to take advantage of the hiatus. So it had to be redone properly.PatrickGuinness (talk) 10:53, 12 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
