Ornamental lake walk[edit]

The National Trust owns and maintains the estate, which includes an accessible walk around the ornamental lake. (THIS SENTENCE NEEDS TO BE BETTER.)

I agree, it does need to be improved. What it really needs is an independent source, like a (local) newspaper report, about the opening of the accessible walk and details on how it was created. Otherwise I'd leave it out as it's just the NT making a selling point about something that's no big deal these days. Deb (talk) 12:39, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much @Deb for keeping an eye and adding your thoughts - I get that point of view. I think I was keen to include it, more for the accessibility angle, as people might not imagine that there would be an accessible option at the site. Bee boles[edit]

I hate to be picky, but twice the comparative "highest" is used with regard to bee boles ~ the highest number of bee boles in the United Kingdom and the highest concentration of bee boles in Wales ~ but it's not clear what exactly this usage means: Highest number/concentration per estate? acre? county? Lajmmoore, can you remember just what this meant? I'd be happy to change it, but i might well plump for the wrong meaning. hello @LindsayH, thanks very much for spot! I've been away so am only getting back to this now. The Daily Post states that the estate has "the biggest bee bole wall" in Britain & Madryn describes it as "The largest collection on record in the UK". I think you could say its both highest number/concentration per estate (the Daily Post describes how most locations only have 4-5 boles in a wall).
