This page should not be speedy deleted because...[edit]

-I was still working on it, I just received a testing invite to get more information about it.
-The game is one of the most anticipated games for 2014 by independent critics (I put only 1 or 2 of the awards it won in the revs because I was lazy yesterday).
-The game symbolizes a new, unique aproach to game development and gathering unique and new subjects is something an encyclopedia does.
-The game is currently looking to become big, due to its new approach, having been featured by many major streamers on twitch.tv (similar to The Binding of Isaac -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Binding_of_Isaac_(video_game) which I witnessed becoming one of the main streaming games over the course of two years. It still manages to gather more viewers than many AAA titles).
-If this outlook should change I will take care of the deletion myself.

-Taken from "A7. No indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events)":
"This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, SOFTWARE, or other creative works."

The article concerns software. So Article A7 is not applicable in this case.

I will be working on making it clear in the article, that it does not violate any other articles when I can work on it again.

I am in no way affiliated with "Crypt of the NecroDancer" or "Brave Yourself Games", I chose to add an entry for this game (and not, for example, SotS:ThePit, because, even though I looked after its wikia since its creation I think that game was not big enough to merit an entry in Wikipedia, no matter how much I personally valued it. Crypt of the NecroDancer however is promising to become a lot bigger than that, possibly reaching the ranks of super meat boy or the binding of isaac. If it does not I will not object a new deletion request.

  • I reverted it because technically, you are right. The game is not an online game, so it doesn't qualify under that. However the other issue is that this is an as of yet unreleased game and the sources are very scanty so far. I'll try to see what I can find, but offhand this looks like it probably won't survive an AfD. Tokyogirl79 (｡◕‿◕｡) 07:30, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hmm... looks like I need to eat some crow. Mmm... crow. I had to step away from the computer for a while but now that I've begun searching, I can find quite a few sources out there review-wise. It looks like even if this was an online only game, the reviews that were already on the page would have been enough to justify it passing a speedy.
