I am quite skeptical about some contents of this page. I have carefully researched this issue and the only election contested by a group called "Conservative Catholics" was the 1913 Italian general election. No mention of this group exists before, though it is possible that they took part in the 1909 Italian general election in the Italian Catholic Electoral Union. Since Catholics were forbidden from taking part in Italian politics by the Non Expedit of Pope Pius IX, which was only softened in 1904 by Pope Pius X and then abolished in 1919 by Pope Benedict XV, their supposed existence since the Unification of Italy is dubious. The Holy See would not have tolerated it, in my view. Karma1998 (talk) 21:37, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
