overwhelmed by positive press quotes

I originated this article in April 2020. It has since been extended by a friend, or friends, of the composer. I am sure they have valuable knowledge, but Wikipedia entries should be objective. The article as it stands is now full of overwhelmingly positive press quotes - and way too many of them. I'd like to begin again and pair it right back, but there seem to be some aggressive gate-keepers now protecting the current content. Should I do so? I cut out the lengthy press quotes (which were all gushing) and tried to restore the basic narrative. Sfjohna (talk) 13:22, 10 July 2023 (UTC)
