Surname[edit]

It seems she was born with the surname Berg, but changed it to Richardson (a stage-name?) then took the name Parker at age 18 until she took her married name, Woods. Is there any Wikipedia policy on how she should be referred to in the context of before she partnered with Parker, e.g. Chan Berg or Chan Richardson? Untitled[edit]

I see this was a redirect until June. I'm mostly not against this information being added to the Charlie Parker article and this becoming a redirect. Although I'm not sure how her marriage to Phil Woods would fit in except as a non-sequitir.--T. Anthony 20:51, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Social Security Death Index Citation As Per WP:LINKSTOAVOID[edit]

I will be removing the Social Security Death Index Citation as it now redirects to the sign up page for ancestry.com which is very much in contravention of WP:LINKSTOAVOID, namely:

Individual web pages that primarily exist to sell products or services

The ancestry.com site does have another page that allows searching the same index here which finds the relevant entry but, upon clicking to see the data, goes to another sign up page.

I have found a publicly-accessible web site that has the Social Security Death Index record for Chan Parker/Woods and updated the article with a citation to this page. The site is run by ancestry.com so there's no guarantee that it will remain publicly-accessible indefinitely - but it is at this point in time. Wantnot (talk) 12:07, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
