This is not a bad article, but I feel it needs some improvements to keep it GA standard. There are a lot of claims throughout the article of various records Favre has broken. For example Favre became the first and only quarterback to score three touchdowns in the Super Bowl and fail to win MVP honors.
. I tagged a few a while ago, but not exhaustively so anyone looking to fix them should use those as examples of what needs citations. The other issue I have is the retirement section. It is generally frowned upon to have bulleted lists when prose would be better. One problem being that bulleted lists tend to give differing incidents equal weight when they do not deserve it. Currently it reads a bit like a diary. I also feel the whole speculation is undue, especially since we have a subheading in career titled Retirements and returns (2008). Personally I would remove the section and sprinkle the notable retirement announcements (I do not think rumours or speculation have any place in a BLP). I would accept a reduced prose version though with the speculation either removed or at least its inclusion justified here. Given there is a sub heading in the career already it would have to be harmonised with that so as not to contain too many duplications, yet still flow and carry the correct weight (hence why I think it would be better sprinkled throughout his career).
