The article in the present state is poorly worded and poorly spelled. Here is a very quick translation of the wiki.it entry of "Aprile" (1998 film). I thought it might be useful for a provisional re-writing of the article.

The film starts showing Rete Quattro news program. Director Emilio Fede announces Silvio Berlusconi’s victory at the 1994 political elections. Nanni Moretti is bewildered by the victory of the right and decides to shoot a documentary about Berlusconi and his conflict of interest. However, he dismisses the project in favour of a musical. In 1996, year of the next elections, Nanni thinks again about his idea of a film on Berlusconi because his project of a musical failed for lack of fresh ideas. At the same time, his wife tells him she is pregnant and from that moment on Moretti divides his life between working on the documentary and caring for his son. In both situations he struggles for unexpected difficulties: the documentary is lagging behind schedule and will be abandoned (also because of the victory of the Left at the elections) and reconsiders the musical.
