Divorce - questions about source[edit]

The claim that Mir divorced in 2022 hinge on one source: "Saboor Aly reacts on Ahad and Sajal's divorce". The Current.

The Current appears to be a reliable source, looking at their masthead. Digging into the article, though, they base the story on the reporting of a single journalist who does not work for them. I could not corroborate any story by Amna Isani at Something Haute, nor could I find any other news story reporting it.

Therefore, I'm removing the divorce. To be clear, it has nothing to do with the couple having announced the divorce or not; it has everything to do with reliable sources not reporting it. —C.Fred (talk) 14:32, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Divorce[edit]

Please remove the section on divorce as the statement is not officially reported, and nor have been confirmed by the couple. No reports have coroborated the divorce as well! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 42.61.248.119 (talk) 05:17, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why is Masala News not reliable? —C.Fred (talk) 12:04, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Looking further, this is the second news source to report the story, although both sources hinge on the reporting of Aamna Ishani. Since it's a second source, I'm torn and tempted to leave it in pending comments from established editors on the situation. —C.Fred (talk) 12:08, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Aamna Ishani is a Pakistani reporter and she interviews Pakistani actors face to face and posts them on the official YouTube channel “Something Haute”. I before did not believe the sources as half of them are gossip sites, but on the “Something Haute” YouTube channel she spoke about their divorce being legal. If there are any websites that are reliable I would say it’s Something Haute. I have also seen Aamna Ishani’s name in many other websites, but I don’t know if half of them are reliable. I’ve found this one, but I want to see your perspective of whether it reliable or not. https://mmnews.tv/sajal-aly-ahad-raza-mir-legally-divorced-report/ Plum3600 (talk) 21:02, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life[edit]

Aamna Ishani did not announce their divorce. That is not true as no formal statement was given from either party. 39.44.74.82 (talk) 15:57, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The cited source says otherwise. —C.Fred (talk) 17:02, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
