This is a documentation subpage for Portal:Law/Selected picture layout.

This template is intended to be used to standardise the format of selected pictures on the Law Portal.

The template should be used in the following form:

{{Portal:Law/Selected picture layout|image|credit|caption|alt text}}

The image must be free content. The credit line should attribute the image author. The caption should be a sentence to briefly describe the subject of the picture (which will be displayed below the image and on mouseover) and alt text should also be included. In the caption, there should be a bold link to the article most relevant to the image.

This template also automatically categorises the content into Category:Law Portal selected pictures. This category will be used by the Law Portal to track how many selected pictures there are.
