Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia or the fear of long words is not commonly recognized by the DSM-5[1] or commonly known as Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

The history of this medical phobia is currently unknown, but this article does include some sources. The song "Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliaphobia" from the youtuber Songdrops with the faster version.[2][3]
The faster version is most chosen by some animators, like BFDI[4] fan animations and other animations.
