Dhriti Pati Sarkar (born 16 April 1981) is an Indian actor, film producer, and director known for his work in films such as Bhakla (2006) in which Lata Mangeshkar sung first & last time in Chhattisgarhi[1] His film Pradarshan was selected in International Film Festival (2014). His father name is Sura Pati Sarkar & mother name is Nilima Sarkar[2]

Early Life[edit]

Born in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India, Dhriti Pati Sarkar faced financial challenges during his childhood, selling vegetables at 9 in the Supela market. Despite the hardships, he engaged in Wushu / Kungfu and Gymnastics training and discovered his passion for theatre with the local group Mutthi. Winning the Best Actor award in Drama Competitions, he further explored his skills in short films & feature films, including "Dhriti Pati Sarkar Ka Dwand," "Dhriti Pati Sarkar ka Eklavya," and Bhakla.[3]

In 2006, he appeared in an episode of Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa and Kasauti Zindagi Kay by Balaji Telefilms. Dhriti Pati Sarkar has also directed the movie Pradarshan/Showcub and remains an influential and active artist in Central India Chhattisgarh.

Dhriti Pati Sarkar completed his 12th grade in PCM with 64% marks. He is an engineering dropout from Rungta Engineering College, Bhilai. He was founder member of many theater group in Chhattisgarh like Mutthi Natya Sanstha[4],Abhay Drama Theater[5] & Dhriti-Lakshya Theater[6] . .

Film Career[edit]

Dhriti Pati Sarkar boasts a prolific career in Hindi theater, winning the Best Actor award 12 times, spanning from Drama Competitions to International Film Festivals . His filmography includes the lead role in the Chhattisgarhi film Bhakla,[7] featuring a song sung by Lata Mangeshkar, a first and last for the renowned singer in Chhattisgarhi cinema. With a repertoire of 18 dramas and 6 films, he has showcased his versatility as an actor. His film selected[8] & won at Indo American Film Festival . He attended many international film festival[9] . He also won 2 awards at Kolkata Based Asian International Film Festival for Zindaadil.[10] Its based on human odd behavior & noticed in experimental category in festivals.[11]
