Submission declined on 7 February 2024 by Bearcat (talk). There's no pressing need for this to already exist now. Although it's possible that an election might happen in 2024 due to the current government being a minority, an election doesn't officially have to happen until fall 2025, so there's no important reason why a candidate list would already have to be in place for an election that could still be 20 months away, especially given that there aren't any finalized candidates to list in it yet because none of the parties have started any of their local nomination contests yet. Declined by Bearcat 3 months ago.As of right now, the only content this actually contains is the incumbent members who are currently representing each district right now, with not even one name present in any of the 45th election candidates columns yet -- but the incumbent members are already covered in List of House members of the 44th Parliament of Canada, which means this doesn't yet contain any information we don't already have in other places. Obviously if there is a snap election later in 2024, then we can rush this out when that happens -- but creating an article is not hard enough that we would need this to already exist this far in advance of any useful content for it. |

Notes[edit]
- ^ No Affiliation is used by Elections Canada when a candidate leaves the Party Affiliation entry blank on his or her registration; this is often done by candidates from unregistered political parties.
- ^ The Nomination Contest Database sometimes contains minor errors in spelling, case, and accents; correct forms may be taken from other sources.
- ^ Incorrectly spelt Ianoue in Elections Canada nomination contest database.
- ^ Michael Coteau[17] and Salma Zahid[11] were both announced as running again in their respective ridings before the new Representation Order took effect.
- ^ Althorpe was originally nominated in the former riding of Niagara Centre.[2]
- ^ Cecilia was originally nominated in the former riding of St. Albert-Edmonton.[2]
- ^ Incumbent John Aldag was previously announced by the party as running again[17] but later resigned to run in the British Columbia provincial election.[162] His resignation takes effect on 27 May 2024.
- ^ Originally nominated in the former riding of Burnaby South.[2]
- ^ Incumbent Joyce Murray announced she would not run again after an earlier party announcement to the contracy.[3]
