BikroyShohoj allows users to post free advertisements to buy and sell new or used products. It was founded by Mohammad Rajin Sharwar in Chattogram [2], who had previous experience in e-commerce, and web development. He saw a gap in the market for a free, reliable, and user-friendly classified ads marketplace that would connect buyers and sellers across the country. He also wanted to provide a platform where individuals could list anything they wanted to sell or search for any new or second-hand things.

BikroyShohoj.com offers a range of features to its users. Some of the main include:

Launch[edit]
The website was officially launched in April 2021, with the slogan "Sell Easy". The founder invested his own capital to start the venture, and still operating as a sole-proprietorship model. BikroyShohoj.com initially focused on the urban areas of Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet, but soon expanded to cover all the districts of Bangladesh. The website also launched a mobile app for Android devices for the platform on September 2023.[3][4]

As of January 2023, BikroyShohoj's website and Android app support and operate in two languages; Bengali and English. It claims to be a bilingual classified marketplace, focusing mainly on Bengali users of Bangladesh.[5]
Revenue[edit]
As of January 2023, BikroyShohoj doesn't charge its users for posting advertisements to the platform. It mainly runs and operates from the revenue of its advertisements shown on its website and application. BikroyShohoj has partnered with Google Adsense and Google Admob to show personalized, and non-personalized advertisements.
