Comment: It appears that every source cited in this article is a primary source. Such sources don't contribute to establishing notability. See Wikipedia:Golden Rule to get an idea of the kind of sources required. As an academic researcher who published articles, WP:NACADEMIC may be appropriate as a standard to meet. What independent sources demonstrate his impact in his research areas? What notable awards has he received? Has he been elected to any selective and prestigious society? Are his works heavily cited by colleagues and peers? What positions has he held? Any non-notable professor typically publishes many papers and sometimes even co-authors books. We need evidence of notability or impact. This is an encyclopedia of notable topics. William A. Emboden[1] (February 24, 1935 - May 10, 2016) was an ethnobotanist, author and artist. He lectured and wrote articles about a variety of subjects in science, botanicals, and art for publications as well as authoring and co-authoring several books.[2]
