i belive this is a 1949 not a 1948...'49 was the first year with "fins"
My Response:
This was my father's car and the picture was taken in 1951. He described it as a 1949 model. I posted the picture to an automotive group on usenet and was promptly informed that it was a 1948 model. I was pointed to the following two pictures:

Note that on the 1948 model, the parking lights do not wrap around. This matches my picture. Therefore, it must be a 1948.
