Misidentified species[edit]

The species shown in this photo has been misidentified. The photo shows a dark-mantled sooty albatross (Phoebetria fusca), not a light-mantled sooty albatross (Phoebetria palpebrata). This is made obvious because the line along the bill of the bird in the photo is yellow, as occurs in the dark-mantled sooty albatross, whereas in the light-mantled sooty albatross this line would have been blue. 181.15.218.66 (talk) 17:16, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
