Summary

Description
English: Located in the Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, England. The caption next to it reads: "The Ooser. This monstrous wooden mask, a bulls, hair and horns mounted on its low brow, was used to scare people at midwinter gatherings. The original of this model is now lost. It was last seen in Crewkerne, c. 1905. Another was reported at Shillingstone and there may have been many more throughout Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire."
