Author Mr Chaffin – it is unclear from the source which of the Chaffins took this photo; the Chaffin family ran several photographic studios in Somerset. Being in Taunton, it is likely that the photographer was either Thomas H. Chaffin (1849–1933) or Lionel H. B. Chaffin (1858–1940), though it is possible it was John T. Chaffin (1852–1919), who worked out of the Yeovil studio.
