Platanus racemosa—western sycamore. Follows streams and rivers in the Great Valley of California and streambeds of Southern California. The sycamore can be quite massive, but is often branched not far above its base with branches growing at all sorts of angles. Photographed at Regional Parks Botanic Garden located in Tilden Regional Park near Berkeley, CA.
