(19:06 UTC), by the Advanced Baseline Imager (ABI) instrument flying aboard NOAA's GOES 16 satellite. At the time this was captured Ian was making landfall in Southwest Florida as a devasting Category 4 Major Hurricane with winds of 150 mph (240 km/h) (130 knots) on the 1-min Saffir-Simpson scale and a minimum central pressure of 941 mbar (27.8 inHg). |
