Bishop Gorman High School (commonly referred to as Gorman or BGHS) is a Catholic, private, preparatory school located in Summerlin, in Clark County, Nevada, United States serving the Las Vegas area for over 50 years. The school is administered by the Diocese of Las Vegas. The school opened in 1954 and its mascot is a Gael, or mounted Irish Knight.
The athletics program at Bishop Gorman are known as the Gaels and compete in the Southwest Division of the Sunset 4A Region. The Gaels have become one of the most prominent high school athletics program in the state of Nevada,winning numerous state championships each year. Additionally, the Gaels have been recognized by Sports Illustrated as one of the top athletic programs in the nation.
