En schoon (5)Piktoors en (6)Lantaren,

'T hunnen dienst tot Leidstar waren,

Stiet hun volgeladen Schip,

Dikwerf tegen zand, en klip:

Dog wyl zy geen rampen leden,

Na dees Benttogt (7)Wel te Vreden. Vele myner Konstgenooten, welker Bentnamen hier ingeweeven zyn, nog in leven zynde, hebben deeze bywoningen voor een uitspanning in de dagen hunner jongelingschap gehouden, en naderhand zig zoo gedragen, dat alle brave luiden agting voor hun hebben. ô Hoe gelukkig zynze (zeit meergemelde Hoogstraten in zyn Schilderboek op pag. 207) dien dit ten goede gedyt! en die als de verjongde Ram van Medea, uit den Bentketel springen, daar zoo menige Pelias in versmoort blyft: Ja overgelukkig zynze, die hun dwaasheden (2)Gillis vander Meren. (3)Alberto Clovet. (4)Robbert du Val Hagenaar. (5)Kasper van Wittel Miniatuur sch. van Amesfoort. (6)Jan Baptist d'Assenie Hist. sch. van Doornik.
