Nederlands: En de Lucht met glans bestreken,

Spiegelde zig in de beken

Bronne, en stroomend kristallyn

Van den gryzen Tyberyn,

En zyn tintelende stralen

Koestert heuvelen en dalen:

Doet de (3) Tuberoos vol roem

Boter, (4) Zon, en (5) Distelbloem,

Met veel luister openluiken,

En de (6) Lely lief'lyk ruiken;

Daar de (7) Weyman met zyn vrint

(8) Koridon (9) Vermaak in vint

(10) Snip, Patrys, en Goutvink roeren

(Daar de Vogelaars op loeren)

Hunne vlerkjes by 't gekweel,

Wyl het gorgelend gestreel

Van den (11) Lewerik in 't zingen,

Schynt ten wolken in te dringen,

Moedig op zyn zangstem. Maar

(12) Bontekraay, en (13) Ojevaar, (3) Jakobus van Spyk Hage, Pourtr. Sch. (4) Pieter vander Hulst Kruide Sch. van Dord. (5) Karel de Vogel Bloemsch. van Mastr. na hem Andries Verhoeven van Antw. (6) F. Ziereels. (7) Jano anders Hansje Blondeau. (8) Adriaan vander Kabel. (9) Nicolaas le Grand van Antw. (10) Augustyn Terwesten Hage, Histor. en Sold. Schild. (11) Jaques Vaill'ant. (12) Daniel Mytens braaf Schilder van 's Gravenhage. Korn. van Ryssen die te Rome op zyn Doopmaal geweest is, heeft dit Vaersje daar op gemaakt.

Gevels cieren de gebouwen,

Schoone Wimpels cieren 't Schip,

Hoofdcieraad vermooit de Vrouwen

'T Rozeblosje ciert de Lip,

En de Wangen, ook de Kleeren

Worden door haar kleuren fraai,

Dus word g' ook tot uwer eeren

Onze bonte Bontekraay. Deze heeft nog een Zoon dat een braaf Meester is, en woont te Stokholm in Zweeden.
