Description Air Nostalgia Douglas C-47B Skytrain (DC-3) at Melton Airport. Originally built for the USAAF in 1945 as a Douglas C–47B–30DK & allocated serial 44-76552. Cn amended due to inadvertent duplication. Shipped immediately to Australia and taken on RAAF charge as A65-91 on 6 April '45. Served with the RAAF until 15 Jan '86 when sold to Golden West Airways. Registered VH-TMQ 28 Aug '88 to Collbrina Transport, but left to deteriorate at Essendon Airport. Acquired by Air Nostalgia 1 July '96 & restored - first flight 31 Mar '00. Seen here at the Houdini-Centenary Air Show.
